Sharp Practice Rules Reference v2.1
Not quite what I would call a "Quick Reference," but I did manage to condense a lot down into 2 pages (front and back). This reference covers a lot of the basic stuff that veteran players will know, but I could see it being useful for players who do not get a chance to play that often, and for those who are learning the game. Mostly black and white for easy printing. You could print it on off-white parchment paper to give it that old-timey feel.

Two spaces on the Master Arsenal Table were intentionally left blank since people may want to write in their own stats for exotic artillery pieces, like swivel guns or mortars.

v2.1 contains a "Terrain and Movement" chart and a correction to some cut-off text.

Because I'm a nut, I play with 10mm miniatures and with distances halved.

Sharpulator Reformatted
This document is a reformatted version of the TooFatLardies original Sharpulator, the points calculating system for Sharp Practice. I tidied it up a bit, and made a few changes per forum discussions on the TFL website. Footnotes reference where changes from the original were made.

Sharp Practice Unit Roster Cards
Generic Unit Roster cards. Six standard-sized cards per page. The "C-A" and "A-A" abbreviations denote the place to write Card Activated and Automatically Applied Characteristics respectively.

Generic Leader Card Set
This set includes 8 standard-sized Leader cards, 4 red and 4 blue. Print on card-stock and cut out. Card sleeves help tremendously with shuffling. The "Visual" row gives you a place to write an easily identifiable characteristic of the miniature being used to represent the Leader.

American War of Independence Card Set
This set includes a Tiffin Card, an Event Trigger card (for scenario building) and 7 command cards for both the Americans and the British. Cards are the standard size.

Dawns & Departures Narrative Campaign Manager v0.75
(VASSAL Module)
This is a module for the open-source board-game engine VASSAL, for the running of Dawns and Departures narrative campaigns by email. At the moment, this is raw and unplaytested, but will continue to develop as I see things that need to be added.

So far, the module will track:

Campaign Map Terrain
Double-blind movement
Unit Stats (editable as the campaign goes on)
Campaign Time (A.M./P.M.)
Supplies
Turn Reports
Units assigned to special duty (Patrolling for Infantry, and Screening, Reserve, Battle, or Patrolling for Cavalry)

Note: the Umpire player has complete control over the Reports, Supplies, and Turn Tracking pieces. The umpire should be sure to select "hide" so that the players can only see their reports and remaining supplies.

Dawns & Departures Campaign Map Terrain Image Files
This .zip archive contains various campaign map terrain art from the Too Fat Lardies' book Dawns & Departures. It also contains some art from a TFL blog post on a Peninsular War campaign with SP (here), as well as some art of my own. The files themselves are in .png format, and are a universal size.

Please note: the artwork here is original to the Too Fat Lardies, and I will gladly remove these files promptly if they so request.

  1. Hi. I play with 10mm as well but your half measurements QRS reads "placed in the bin by the owner" and cannot be downloaded.
    Thoughts?

    1. Hi!

Were you ever able to download it? I have tried signing out of my account, and can still view the 1/2" QRS. Are you able to view the regular QRS?

Good looking Rangers on your Blog!

  3. Hi There,

Thanks for these superb resources. Is there any chance I could get your SP2 SP Rules Reference v2.1 .PDF sheet in an .docx editable format? I'd like to make some specific playsheets for my chosen period. Hope you can help.

    Once again,, great work.

    Cheers

    Happy Wanderer

    1. Hello!

Unfortunately, .docx does not handle tables very well, especially in the tight format that the QRS requires. So the best I can do is offer the editable .pub, without starting over from scratch.

I tried copying and pasting the tables from the .pub into a .docx, but without success. Word just can't handle the formatting.
